Prayer requests for our trip

Right now, these are the concerns on our minds regarding our mission to Africa. Surely more requests and concerns will become apparent to us as we travel, meet people and see opportunities. We appreciate your prayers on our behalf and on behalf of those we are joining on this mission, and, of course for the people in Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
  • On the home front: that our mothers, Ruth and Bea will remain well and stable while we are gone. That Bea will get support from people close by, if the need arises and that they (Ruth and Bea) will not be too worried about us while we are away.
  • That the things Fellowship church have collected for the orphans in Zimbabwe will actually reach them. (Airport in Johannesburg is well-known for a high rate of theft of checked luggage.)
  • That we will both be healthy during the trip and not a burden on our hosts at any time and so that we can cross into Mozambique to visit with Owen and Eunice.
  • That we will have cultural and political sensitivity, not offending our hosts or getting anyone in trouble with the authorities.
  • Safe travel for all of those going on the misison, not only airline travel, but also ground travel in and around Zim and Mozambique…and generally smooth connections and handling of bureacracy.
  • Most of all, that God’s love will be working through us wherever we go. That we can overlook our own discomforts. That we will enrich the lives of those we come in contact with and be enriched by them. That He will fill us up with peace, mercy and love.
  • That God will open our eyes to the need(s) that Fellowship can fill.
  • That technology in Zim and Mozambique will allow us to blog from time to time.
  • That no lions or black mambas will have either of us for dinner (or breakfast!)
